Senior sessions are so fun... the nervous giggles turn to laughter and you can see their confidence bursting through.  Carly's mom Holly & our mutual good friend Angie came along for the session & had us all in tears from laughing so hard.  We really had a great time & it's a session that is definitely one of my favorites!

I went to grade school with Carley's mom, and caught up with her again years later when she moved next door to a good friend of mine and I actually recognized her even though the last time I would have seen her was in the 6th grade!  I hadn't seen Carley since she was about 2 yrs old, and when we met up for this session it was like I was meeting a mini-Holly!

Carley is an accomplished pianist, and a competitive varsity volleyball player... top that with excellent grades, and she currently has her pick of some great universities that are scouting her.

Holly:

I may be biased - but these photos are gorgeous. Thanks again Kari for sharing your talent with us... and making it such a fun day! It's always great to have friends from the past become friends of the present!

Friends... I loved Ashley's senior portrait session!  I had literally stepped off a plane, been driven to the Green Bay Botanical Garden, met Ashley for the first time and started shooting.  Her enthusiasm and energy were just fabulous, and while I had every reason to be tired after flying all day... I had so much fun with Ashley & her aunt Denise that it no longer mattered.

Isn't she gorgeous??  She's also one of the sweetest teenagers I've ever met!

Did I mention that Denise treated me to a large diet coke on the way to our next location?  Yes she did!  I love my clients & the fun that we have during sessions... laughing & having fun is a great perk of my job!

I just love how this senior portrait album turned out!  It was fun to create, and I know that this will be a wonderful momento the family will cherish.  A press printed album is a great way to show off all of your favorite portraits from your session!

Below are two of the full spreads.  Please ignore my watermark on them... that is not printed on the final product ;)

This senior's album is a press printed 20 page, 10 x 10 book, with high quality, UV coated hinged paper and a custom photo cover.  I created this layout using a fabulous template from Jamie Schultz Designs.

Gorgeous isn't she?  Another senior that just couldn't take a bad picture.

Way different from the 80's when I went in for my senior pictures.  I'd just had my braces off, hair freshly permed & feathered, blue and pink eyeshadow, and I had two sweater changes with the same studio backdrop and nervous smile.

Morgan's session was so much fun.  She really worked it... hiking all over parks, clothing changes in a van in the parking lot... she didn't even complain when we walked her out on a railroad bridge over a river without her glasses on.

Her mom & 2 aunts (Lisa, Angie & Jenni) are good friends of mine and we had a blast coming up with locations & ideas.  I love the picture of everyone fussing over Morgan, and her reaction.  Her sister Madison, who was her stylist for the session is in that shot (purple sunglasses).  Watch out for this girl, you'll see her on Project Runway in a few years I am sure... she has a fierce sense of style.

Great job Morgan!

I've known Cullan since the day he was born.  His mom Angie & I have been friends since childhood, and his dad is my cousin.

He was my buddy when he was little... calling me to talk about The Lion King, mailing me his crayon artwork, and teaching me the words to Smashing Pumpkins songs (at the age of 2).  I always gave him a big hug & lifted him off the ground when I saw him, until one year he was taller than me.

His senior portrait session was so much fun.  Cullan was up for anything, couldn't take a bad picture, and I got to scout locations, shop for clothes, and shoot with Angie along!

I think he could have a career in modeling... what do you think?  I'm thinking he won't be single for long.
